Matt Zudweg, Muskegon River, Michigan

Matt Zudweg aka: “Zuddy” is a USCG Captain and has been guiding on the Muskegon River since 2003.

Matt is most passionate about “the take” and therefore often chooses techniques that capitalize on the take best, like fishing poppers for smallmouth bass and swung flies for steelhead and trout. Matt may be best known in the industry for his bass fly, the “Zudbubbler”, a modern version of the vintage Gerbubble Bug.

When not on the water, he can usually be found in his studio creating artful products for numerous fly fishing industry professionals through his company Boneyard Fly Gear.

Matt is involved in various ministries at his church and is passionate about his faith and his family. He is very personable and an excellent guide who will work hard to see that you have an enjoyable day on the water.
